Poultry Nutrition
Egg Production & Quality
Layer and breeder programs targeting shell strength, yolk color, internal egg quality, and sustained production cycles across the full laying period.
The Challenge
Shell quality and production persistence decline without targeted nutritional support.
As hens age through the laying cycle, calcium mobilization efficiency declines, shell gland function weakens, and production rates drop. Without targeted nutritional intervention — particularly in the second half of lay — shell defects increase, downgraded eggs rise, and the economic return per hen-housed deteriorates faster than necessary.
Our Approach
Phase-specific mineral and vitamin programs for the full laying cycle.
ViaFeed egg production programs provide phase-specific calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D3 supplementation calibrated to the hen's changing requirements from peak lay through late cycle. Shell quality additives — including organic trace minerals and specific vitamin K2 sources — support shell gland function and reduce crack rates. Yolk color and internal quality programs are available for markets with specific grading requirements.
