Mycotoxin Solutions

Targeted mycotoxin management programs designed to protect feed quality, safeguard animal health, and maintain consistent production performance across poultry and livestock operations.

The Challenge

Mycotoxin contamination is a global production risk.

Mycotoxins produced by mold in raw materials and finished feed can silently reduce animal performance, compromise immunity, and increase mortality — even at sub-clinical levels. Aflatoxins, fumonisins, trichothecenes (DON, T-2), zearalenone, and ochratoxins are the most economically damaging contaminants in global feed supply chains.

Poultry operations are particularly vulnerable: aflatoxin B1 suppresses liver function and immune response, while DON reduces feed intake and gut integrity. In ruminants, mycotoxin carry-over into milk and meat creates additional compliance risk for export-oriented producers.

Climate variability, extended storage conditions, and the use of co-products such as DDGS and cottonseed meal have significantly increased the frequency and severity of multi-mycotoxin contamination events worldwide.

Our Approach

Multi-mechanism binder and detoxifier blends.

ViaFeed mycotoxin programs combine high-capacity aluminosilicate binders (HSCAS) with modified bentonites and yeast cell wall fractions (MOS/glucomannans) to deliver broad-spectrum adsorption across polar and non-polar mycotoxins.

Enzymatic detoxification components — including fumonisin esterases and trichothecene de-epoxidases — are incorporated to biotransform mycotoxins that binders cannot adsorb, ensuring comprehensive protection against the full contamination spectrum.

Liver support actives (silymarin, betaine, choline) are included to aid hepatic recovery in chronically exposed flocks. Programs are available in powder and liquid formats, with inclusion rates calibrated for broiler, layer, turkey, dairy, and beef applications.

Recommended inclusion: 0.5–2.0 kg/tonne of complete feed depending on contamination level and species. Custom formulations available for high-risk raw material profiles.
